Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park

The park is open daily, year round, 7 a.m. to sunset for hiking,
bicycling and equestrian use. Parking $2.
The Orange County Natural History Museum is at the park entrance, open
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Crystal Cove State Park

The park is open daily, year round, 6 a.m. to sunset for hiking,
bicycling and equestrian use. Parking $3.
Special Activities: meet Saturday, June 29 at 8 a.m. at the El Moro
Visitor Center flagpole for a guided 10.5-mile Park Perimeter Hike. Bring
plenty of water, lunch, sunscreen and a hat for the 3- to 4-hour hike.
Reservations are required for the popular Bat Walk on Saturday, June 29
(maximum 35 people). Join bat expert Stephanie Remington for a stroll
through El Moro Canyon in search of bats. The Bat Walk will be offered
again on July 27.
Crystal Cove Historic District Visitor Center hours are 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. Tuesday and Sunday and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Volunteer training
for the center will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Call for more
information.

All activities’ participants meet at the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park
headquarters on Laguna Canyon Road just south of the El Toro Road
intersection. All tours are free, but require reservations.
Saturday, June 22: A moderately strenuous 8 mile, 5-hour hike in
Laguna Coast Wilderness Park will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Sundays, June 23 and 30: An introductory mountain bike ride begins at
9 a.m.
Laguna Coast Wilderness Park

Wilderness Access: Every Sunday at Willow Road staging area on Laguna
Canyon Road just south of El Toro Road intersection. There is hiker,
equestrian and mountain biking access on specified trails without guides.
The gate is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors must exit by 3 p.m.
Jim Dilley Greenbelt Preserve: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Hiking
is only on specified trails without guides. Trails include Barbara’s
Lake, the largest of the Laguna Lakes, the only natural lakes in Orange
County.
Guided hikes in Laurel Canyon: 8 a.m. every Saturday, 3.5-mile hike by
Laguna Greenbelt, Inc. volunteers. Reservations required, $2 donation
requested. Weekday and special group tours available.
Laguna Heights: Open 7 a.m. to sunset daily, year round. Trailhead for
West ridge Trail and trails into Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park.
The new Laguna Coast Wilderness Park access schedule is coming on the
first weekend in July.
Volunteer opportunities are available at each park, call for more
information.
