The H.B. Untouchables have medaled in local soccer tournament
competition for the second month in a row.
The girls’ under-10 Division team out of AYSO Region 55, placed second
at last weekend’s Sun & Surf Tournament, one of the oldest and largest
soccer tournaments held in Orange County.
Playing without the services of Brittany Moya, one of their top
fullbacks, the Untouchables still advanced to the tournament final behind
a tenacious defense that allowed the opposition just one goal.
Goalie Kimya Jafroudi, sweeper Nicole Camarillo and fullbacks Paige
Marks and Katherine Zeltner led the Untouchables on defense.
Kirsten Marony’s two tournament goals topped the offense, and Devon
Shinn and Sarah Wilkinson contributed one goal each.
