Pony baseball: Mud Hens triumph, 5-0
Brendon Salisbury picked a good time to pitch a complete game as
the Newport Harbor Baseball Association’s Mud Hens cruised to shut out
the Newport Reds in the second round of Pony Baseball playoffs June 1.
Salisbury allowed only five hits and walked one while also starring at
the plate. He finished with a triple, double, two runs scored and two
RBIs. Nick Frazier led the Mud Hens on offense, hitting single and home
run to drive in three and also scored a run. Nathan Cramer (single, run
scored), Will Klatte and Frank Muscatello all singled for the Mud Hens.
