WEATHER FORECAST
Aside from the morning clouds, like those that persisted throughout
the weekend, it should be a somewhat beautiful day today. Should, of
course, being the keyword.
But if all pans out well, we’ll see a partly sunny day with highs in
the lower 70s in Costa Mesa and mid-60s in Newport Beach. And if all pans
out even more so, we’ll see the moon mostly cover the sun early this
evening. So, don’t be alarmed if that happens.
Overnight, lows will drop into the upper 50s.
Tuesday should be similar, though highs will inch higher come
Wednesday. Sorry the weekend wasn’t sunny, but we can only keep our
fingers crossed for the future.

BOATING FORECAST
The southeasterly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters
this afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a southwest swell of 3 feet. Winds
will ease this evening.
Out farther, expect similar conditions with a larger swell of 6 to 8
feet. It’ll back down a bit this evening, however, as the fog returns.
SURF
The southwest swell will do its best to bring some waist-highs and the
occasional chest-high today. However, it’ll do even better on Tuesday
when we should see some chest- to shoulder-highs.
