Laguna dog to lead AIDS Walk team
Team Hastings is seeking a few more members willing to be led by a
very capable guide dog.
Laguna resident Michael Osborn formed Team Hastings and will
participate in AIDS Walk Orange County on June 2 at UC Irvine.
The annual walk is in its 16th year, the same amount of years Osborn
has known of his infection with HIV. Complications from the virus led to
his blindness. Osborn was paired with Hastings and the two graduated from
Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael in 2002.
The team has 25 members but is looking for more. They are also in need
of sponsorship. Donations may be made to Michael Osborn, P.O. Box 4256,
Laguna Beach, CA 92652 or on line at www.kintera.org
For information about the team, call 376-9242.
The walk will be at 9:30 a.m. at the UC Irvine Administration Loop and
Chacellor’s Rose Garden. Information: 955-1400.
