Newport Beach Little League: Red Sox no-hit Dodgers

NEWPORT BEACH - The AA sixth-seeded Red Sox used three pitchers to
no-hit and upset the Dodgers in Newport Beach Little League playoff
action.
Starting pitcher Brent Lawson recorded six strikeouts for the Red Sox
in the first three innings, followed by Matt Berry, who pitched 2 1/3
scoreless innings, and Clark Cashion, who finished out the game.
The Dodgers Mason Case also had a shutout through the first three
innings, but in the fourth the Red Sox bats woke up. The Red Sox scored
two as David Leguay singled, stole second base and scored on Brandon
McHugh’s (2 for 3) opposite field base hit.
More runs came in the fifth, as Jonathan Metcalfe and Taylor Epp each
singled and scored on Taylor Ross’ three-run home run to right field.
