Melinda Seely is not only a great mom, but a great mother-in-law and
grandmother to her two granddaughters. In fact, she’s mainly the reason
my husband and I came back to my hometown to raise our daughters as
fourth generation Newport Beachers.
She has always instilled in me a sense of worth, self-confidence and
being loved. In addition, she’s always been there for me when I have been
in need of understanding.
She is the best mom and I love her.
Susan Seely
My mom is a teacher. She helps kids all day be the best they can be.
Then she comes home and spends a lot of time with dad and me.
We go to the beach, we go to the mall, we go to the park and just have
a ball. We like to watch television and we like to read books. She’s good
at everything, but she doesn’t like to cook.
She likes to laugh a lot and make our lives fun -- and she makes me
feel like I’m the only one.
I love you ma ma.

Marita Wittman is the most kind, loving and caring person. We look up
to her for help and guidance. Her enthusiasm for our hard work never dies
and she is always ready to help us with anything.
She does not give up on us after we fall; she cleans our cuts and
bruises and continues to love us and help us achieve our goals. She is
easy to talk to and always has her arms open when we need comfort.
We love her with all our hearts and words cannot describe the
gratitude we have for all she does for us.
The Wittman family: Amanda, Jason and Dad
To Lynne Nieto,
Thanks for all the smiles, thanks for all the laughs,
Thanks for always teaching us to follow the right path.
Thanks for all those memorable trips, by sky, by land, by sea,
‘Thanks for letting me drive the boat’ and ‘Thanks for letting me
sing.’
Thanks for teaching us independence and how to always be strong,
Thanks for always being there and for creating our special bond.
We thank you for our memories, we thank you for the sand,
We thank you for getting that bid ol’ swelled up hand.
We thank you for your love, and we thank the month of May,
So today we can say ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Happy Mother’s Day!’ Nicole
and Danielle Haxby
Jan Hollister is the epitome of who I want to be as I grow up. She is
absolutely beautiful with a constant welcoming laughing smile and
sparkling eyes and glowing suntanned skin. But what makes her so
beautiful is the love of God that overflows from her heart and fuels her
spirit through the good and bad times.
She is always willing to listen and learn and try new things and be
spontaneous. As any normal 20-year-old college student, my experiences
and feelings push and pull me around, sometimes uniting our family, but
often testing our bonds of love. My mom’s love and commitment are the
core strength of who she is and how our family can so deeply love each
other.
She is a special mom.
Melissa Hollister
Mom, you are my super hero.
You made my day shine when there were thoughts of no tomorrow.
You stand by me through thick and thin,
When the entire world is crashing in.
Who could be as great of a mom, friend and especially a mentor to so
many as you.
Who could brighten up some one’s day when they thought all was
through.
Who could love someone more than anything in the world.
Who could leap better than anyone I know.
Who could be a better super hero, a mom, a friend to not one or two.
All these traits, all of these things, are no one mom,
No one but you.
Lindsey Manning, 14
My mom, Susan, is like no other. She has always been strong in spirit
with the Lord. She lost a child who touched many people’s lives. She is
raising my brother (15) and me (11) to be very close to God.
Though she may not have time to entertain me, I know that my mom loves
me. My mom handcrafts ceramic clocks. I love my mom because she always
puts God first in everything. My mom inspires me to be a friend to
everyone, even when they are not friendly toward me. I love her.
Serena Prostor, 11
My mom made me what I am today. I think about her so often. She taught
me so many beautiful things, about loving and caring. Now I’m following
her footsteps.
I am now a great-grandmother, age 87. My mom’s soul shall live
forever. I love you mom.
Frances Matulich
Our mother, Frances Stawicki, is 87 years old. She has been a
full-time resident of Newport Beach since 1945. Our mom, while working
for our dad and raising us, was an active member of the Newport Beach
Assistance League for 35 years. She was the director of volunteers for
Children’s Hospital of Orange County for 18 years, until her retirement
in 1987.
Mom has always supported and encourage us, her two grandchildren and
now her three great-grandchildren. She continues to be very active and
involved in all of our lives. We not only think she is the the best mom
ever, but most of our friends would agree that we are the luckiest people
to have had her love and guidance in our lives.
Kris Merickel
My mother, Mary Ann Rector, is so warm and wonderful to me and my
daughter, Natalee.
Lee Mallory
She prays for us. She plays with us. She’s our loving Ga Ga. Happy
Mother’s Day.
Rachelle Rooney
My name is Joe. I’m the one on my mom’s lap. She’s letting me have a
cupcake at the park, and we go there almost every day. She is a great
mom, and I want to let you know a little bit more about what makes her
such a great mom.
We take our dog Serge to the Back Bay and throw rocks in the water.
I’m learning how to skip rocks. She usually gets me a Hot Wheels car
whenever we go to Target. She reads to me every day; she always lets me
pick the books.
The only time we yell at each other is when we try to out scream each
other on ‘I love you more.’ I am really happy to be her son and she is
really happy to be my mom. I think she is the best mom in the world.
Happy Mother’s Day, mom. I love you more.
Joe
Thanks for being the world’s best mom.
Kailen and Josh Locke
To my mom, Alesia Erickson,
There aren’t enough words to describe the person you are.
You are wiser than the hills, you are your own star.
You are such an intricate person,
I never know what’s next,
From preschool to the high school,
No task is too complex.
Every time you smile,
It’s like the sun rising over a glistening sea.
You’re my mom,
And you’re very dear to me.
Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on,
And for being my ride home.
Without you, no one would be able to see my carpet,
And there would be a landslide of falling things,
Upon opening my closet door.
I love you mom,
And although I don’t always show it,
That’s the truth,
And I want you to know it.
Thank you for caring for me when I’m sick,
And for getting mad when you have the right to.
Without you, I’d be the worst driver,
And I’d always have the flu.
Thank you for being honest,
When that dress really didn’t look good on me.
I can always count on you to tell the truth,
Even if I disagree.
Thank you for bringing me into this world,
And raising me the way you are.
Without you I am no one,
And with you I can live my own life, and become my own star.
I am grateful for all you have done for me,
And all the good times we’ve had together too.
I just hope that one day,
I can be a mom just like you.
Katie Erickson
As I furiously dug through the trash to find the due date for this
special letter before my mom returned home, I thought to myself, ‘My mom
is worth it!” With all the places she drives me, all the dinners she
cooks and all the other wonderful things she does, she deserves something
great.
I am sure that while you’re reading this, mom, you’re going to wonder
if this is really true; and yes, it is, I did this for you. I hope you
know how much I appreciate everything you do for me and all the support
you give me in my life. If only I could tell you how much it means to me
when I see you watching at my horse shows or having discussions that let
me know how much you care about me.
All your effort is well recognized and very much appreciated. I love
you soooooo much.
Lindsey Westervelt
Your support and confidence in everything we do means the world to us.
You are always there, cheering us on in life, helping us to strive to be
the best we can be. Thank you for being such a beautiful person and an
amazing mom. We love you.
Kathryn and Jennifer Bartlau
Alice Loftus has been a mother for more than 45 years. She’s never
missed a day. Never called in sick. Never shirked a duty.
She’s done it for five of us. We’ve lost all humility about her
sweetness. When someone says “Your mother is so sweet,” we reply with
“Ya, we know.”
There’s no way the five of us have or can return to her all the love,
patience, determination and work she’s given us, yet she just wants to
give more. We love her more than we can express. The Loftus family: Ann,
Brian, Kevin, Mark and Sean
Our mom, Janet Loftus, cleans us, feeds us and takes us to the doctor.
But we prefer it when she plays with us, sings with us, plays the piano
for us, read to us and takes us to the park. She’s cool and we love her.
Dominic and David Loftus
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
There is no better,
Mommy than you.
Don’t get us wrong,
Cause we aren’t lying,
We love you the most.
The Shaw family: Alex, Michael and Brian
Thank you for always being there for us. You are so fun. We like when
you sing, dance and make cookies with us. You are also the best snuggler
in the world. Thanks for being you. We love you so much.

Debbie Mullin is my favorite person. Why? She is my mom.
Although sometimes I don’t give her enough credit, she definitely
defies all limits of greatness. While I’m away at school, she is working
behind the scenes doing all the dirty work. You know, the stuff best
friends won’t even do, such as shopping for my every need, planning all
those appointments I never want to do and constantly trying to make me
happy with those little surprises.
Basically, she keeps me running. But most of all, she will never let
me down. She simply can’t allow herself. This is why my mom is not just a
mom, but an All-Star as well.
Mom, I love you.
Ryan Mullin
My mom, Laurie Keys, does everything for me.
Page Keys, 6
My mom is so great because she is always there for me, whether I need
her or not. She really cares for me. I know this because she goes out of
her way to make me happy and to feel good about myself. She really helps
me a lot on all kinds of stuff. Even though she’s my step mom, I love her
like a mom. She is my mom.
Sometimes I feel as though I don’t express my gratefulness enough.
Then I was told of this opportunity to express my feelings and thought
that this would be the perfect Mother’s Day gift. Nancy, I want you to
know that nobody could be as thankful for you as I am. I love you very
much.
Jimmy Tallman
Thank you, Stella Cretikos, for everything you do for us. We’re so
lucky to have such a beautiful, fun, loud, caring, classy and sexy mom.
When we look closely, we see your angel wings sprouting from your back.
You’re an amazing strength in our family of six and we would be lost
without you. Years of memories lie behind each of our faces. The values
you’ve taught us, the care you’ve given us and the wonderful love you’ve
always shown has enriched our lives in more ways than we could possibly
count.
You lend a helping hand until we have the strength to stand. You go
around caring for others before yourself. You have a smile on your face
and love in your heart for everyone, but never ask anything in return.
You have showed us love, patience and discipline. We see all of this and
more in you. You’re a counselor and a companion; a best friend and a
happy home. You inspire in us the confidence that we need from day to
day. Your character shapes our choices. Your words shape our voices.
There are no words to show you how much we appreciate you, thank you,
admire you, love you.
The Cretikos family: Dimitri, Gina, Alexia and Marcus
I love my mom because she hugs me and cuddle with me and does fun
things with me.
Sam Woodward, 4
We love our mommy, Sherrilynne Dangl, and like to wear our matching
flower dresses.
Katelynne, 5, and Rachel Dangl, 2
No one has loved me like you, mom. I often stop and think of how much
you have given to me, from life to listening and being a pillar of
strength I have leaned on many a time.
Thank you for being the most inspirational person in my life. Know
that you will always be in my heart, now and forever. Every day is
Mother’s Day.

Our trips to Hawaii and Balboa Island are great! If you feed us candy
we’ll stay up really late. You’re the best.

My mom, Judy DeVine, plays silly games with me and my sister Zoe. She
makes us laugh.
Wyatt DeVine, 5
o7 moth*er (muth’er) n. 1. A female parent. 2. To care for like a
mother; nourish and protect.
f7 Hmmm? That sounds very much like my mother, but there is more to
my mother than that. Her attitude toward life, toward me (I am 14), and
my little brother, who is 10. She pulls off being our mother about as
close to perfection as it gets.
There are many reasons I think my mom is so great. When I wake up in
the morning, she’ll ask, with a big smile on her face, if I want
pancakes. If I’m at home on a weekend, she’ll offer to take my friends
and I to a skate park, or a movie, or something else fun. Last year,
during one of our weeks off, she took my brother and I to Hawaii for the
first time. It was a lot of fun.
It’s more than just travels and treats that make her great. Things
beyond words, like the feeling of comfort I get when she is around or the
advice she gives me. When I get home from somewhere, she tells me that
she was worried. . .little things like that. Things that show me she
loves me and that she cares. These are the things that make my mom so
great and some of the many reasons that I love my mom so much.

Ruth Porter is “The Wonder Woman” beyond all words.
Always up for a game of cards,
Port Financial, she does run,
And boy, does she know how to have fun.
To Mexico she must go,
Betting horses and winning dough.
Mom to Jen, Heather, John and Jamie,
And Jessica’s much-loved auntie.
Julie and Dane call her “Grammie,”
But let’s not forget the rest of the family.
Ruthie is so loved by everyone.
Mom, you truly are our No. 1.
The Porter family: Jen, Heather, John, Jamie, Tay, Jessica, Julie and
Dane
Our mother, Lynne Valentine, is so special. She has made us so proud
of her for all her accomplishments.
When we moved to Newport Beach in 1972, she used to ride a bike to
work -- we didn’t have a car. Today she is one of the most noted and
respected real estate agents in the area.
But most important, she is a loving, kind mother and a great friend --
one who is always there no matter how busy she is, and someone we can
always trust. We love you, mother.
Jill Rothell, Robin Christensen and Rory Rothell
We have such a wonderful mother in Carol Boyer. We are so proud of her
strength and spirit. When our father died back in 1986, she went from
housewife to businesswoman over night. She successfully ran La Cave
restaurant for 15 years.
Now retired, she travels the world with her sister. She is always
there for us. We love her. Happy Mother’s Day, mom.
David Boyer, Bill Boyer and Carol Ann Aldrich
Mom, I love you very much.
Kevin Wong
Mom, you are always caring and there for me.
Brian Wong
Thank you for everything. You are the best.
Jennifer Wong
Our mommy is flat out the best mom in the whole world. She loves us
unconditionally and always makes us feel safe and secure. She sleeps with
us when we’re scared and lets us pile in with her and Daddy, too.
Mommy always gets us to where we need to be on time. She is the
greatest soccer mom. She makes our school lunches with cool stuff and
picks up after us before dad comes home and has a cow. She is an awesome
cook, but she lets us get McDonald’s, Carl’s Jr. and Subway if she is in
a time crunch and has an extra $20. She’s very sweet and sensitive.
Shelby, Sydney and Jacky Pickels
I am always in awe of my mother. She has been there for me every step
of my life, full of love, inspiration, friendship and encouragement. She
is my first hero, as my daughter is my second. Mom, thank you for your
unending support and love. I love you.
Stephanie Parole
My mom is great because she’s my mom. If she wasn’t here. neither
would I be nor my siblings. My mom is Virginia Hope Healey Davis Vaughan.
She was born in 1913 (with only the first of the three preceding names)
in New York, but her family moved to California when she was a small
girl.
A graduate of Harding (now University) High School in Los Angeles, she
married inventor/engineer Arthur C. Davis in 1935 and they moved to Lido
Isle in 1955. I was a wee babe then. Dad died in 1970, so in 1977 she
married Earle Vaughan, who passed away in 1991, but we have forgiven her
for that.
She has also lived in Hawaii, Maryland, Florida, not to mention
Huntington Beach. She brought me up, as well as Sharon, Andy and Melody.
She’s still going strong and is an active member of the Eastern Star,
the Friday Anglers Club, the Oasis Senior Center, The Little Beach
Players, the Lido Isle Women’s Club and the Lido Isle Book Club. She was
once president of the DeMolay Mothers Club (That’s back in the days when
I was in DeMolay, a junior Masonic group).
We love our mom and she beats all others in my book.
Lenard E. Davis
To my mother, Elizabeth McGrail:
Master of many tasks.
Overture to my precious life.
Teacher of integrity and self confidence.
Harmony in all I am and will become.
Empathetic to all of my situations.
Rafter of strength.
Reminding me that when I fall, I can pick myself up and dust myself
off, allowing me to go on to become the great person that only she knows
I can become.
I learned how to be a great daughter and sister as I watched her at my
grandma and aunt’s bedsides as they drew their final breaths, reminding
me to always cherish God’s gifts to us. How I wished I could take her
pain away. It was at those moments mom taught me what a mother is, a
constant from beginning to end.
She teaches me daily the important things in life, such as
unconditional love and integrity -- the two attributes essential to
becoming a great human being.
Mom, through many ups and downs you have become my very best friend
and are a constant reminder of who I hope to be. When I hear the
expression “Who ya gonna call,” my answer is always the same -- “My
mother.”
I love you with all of my heart.
Mary Lydon
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
My mom is great,
And she smells good, too!
My mom is great,
I’m sure you can tell,
By how lovely she is,
And her wonderful smell!
She is so courageous and strong,
And also sings a wonderful song!
My mom will always blend,
So there is no more, that is the end!
The Senske family: Hailey, 8; Riley, 8; Katie, 6; and Nikki, 2 months
Happy Mother’s Day to the sweetest mom in Costa Mesa, Erin Mollner.
Just wanted to drop you a little note from across the Atlantic and let
you know that I appreciate all that you’ve done for me and continue to
do. I couldn’t have made it this far without your love and support. Best
wishes on this special day. I love you.
Mark Mollner
To my mom, Joyce Wood:
A mother, wife and grandmother; she has brought love and understanding
to her family and all she meets. She was the office manager at Balearic
School and then at Sonora Elementary for years and shared her wisdom with
all the kids, faculty and visitors. She’s a traveler, walker, knitter,
reader and friend. Thank you, mom. You are the best.
Debbie Marsteller and Brenda
To Cyndi Clark:
Thanks mom.
For all the money you spend on me.
For cooking dad and I dinner.
For keeping a roof over my head --
And cute clothes on my back.
For taking time to always help me.
For the fun places we have been.
For loving me no matter what.
How great is God Almighty that He made my mom well.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Olivia Clark
Jill Gracia is a single working mother who works from 9 in the morning
to 6 at night as a property manager. She comes home every night to her
son, for whom she always fixes a delightful supper. She enrolls her son
and encourages him in every sport and activity he does. I, Michael
Garcia, happen to be the lucky boy who has her for a mom.
I admire her because she works so hard at her job, at home and in
anything else she has to accomplish, like raising me. She grew up as an
outstanding student in all of her years at school and also was an amazing
player in all sports. Eventually, she became a semi-professional tennis
player and after, settled down in business.
I don’t hide anything from my mom. I can tell her anything, knowing
that I will get help from her, support from her, advice from her and her
everlasting love. Being a mother is not an easy chore, and I am sure my
mom has mastered everything there is to being a mom and far beyond.
So I guess this essay was to say “Thank you, mom” for your love for
me. And thank you, Lord, for blessing me with her.
Michael Gracia
Some people call Jean Forbath the “Mother Teresa of Costa Mesa,” but
we just call her “mom” and “grandma.” She is the incredible mother of
seven children and the wonderful grandmother of nine. All of us, of
course, live in Costa Mesa or Newport Beach to be close to her.
Her constant love and affection, her kindness towards others and her
strong faith in God is an inspiration for all of us. Her home is still
our gathering place for all birthdays and celebrations. We are so blessed
to have her as our mom. We love you, mom. We love you, grandma. Thanks
for all you do.
The Forbath family
I think my mom is the greatest mom ever because she is always there
for me. I can always depend on her. Whenever I need to talk, I can go to
her.
My mom is so cool. She is not like one of those moms that will try to
be your best friend. But my mom is not the kind of mom that does nothing
with you at all. Like when I’m bored and I want someone to play hoops
with, she’ll come and play. Or if all my friends are busy, then I’ll ask
her to come and play hockey, and she’ll do just that.
But when she does all that, she is being like a friend, but always a
mom too, and I think that’s really cool. Sometimes I’d rather play or
just sit down and talk with my mom more than my friends -- actually, most
of the time.
And I love her for who she is, not who I want her to be. And that is
why I think my mom is the greatest mom ever.
Garrett Pickard, 10
There are a lot of reasons why my mom is so great, and it’s impossible
to fit them all into a small paragraph. Suffice it to say that she was
the youngest of seven kids -- gave birth and raised with seven kids and
those seven have added 14 grandkids!!
She’s 72 years young and always ready and willing to lend a hand with
all of her ‘kids’. Her motto is ‘There’s a time and place for
everything.’
She attends Mass and Communion seven days a week and she taught us
that ‘No matter how much money we make or the job we do, what’s important
in life is the people you love and those who love you.’
The Thoman family: Paula, Mel, Kelty, Klaire, Sarah and Kevin
The Cripe mothers: Marian -- The matriach of the Cripe family is known
and loved by so many people. Her love of life is second to none, her
tennis game and piano playing are legendary. But her pride and joy are
her loving husband Hugh and her children Larry, Glenn and Mary Jo.
Kim -- The greatest multi-tasked mother there is. Kim is the CEO of
Children’s Hospital Orange County and a mother that is always there for
his family. Kim’s greatest love and pride are her three boys, Jeff, Scott
and Jackson, and her husband Glenn, who always has her love and support.
Sophie -- The supportive and loving life wife of Larry and mother of
John. She, too, is kept busy with her work for Stop Gap, Human Options,
as well as being a board member of the Laguna Beach Playhouse.
Mary Jo -- Although her name has changed, her spirit is all Cripe.
Mary Jo and her husband Tom have raised a wonderful son named David. Yet
Mary Jo still manages to keep her mother and father, Marian and Hugh,
close to her heart.
Thank you for all your love and constant support. The Cripe mothers
are an incredible, loving and talented foursome.
The Cripe family
You have always been there for all of your kids and grandkids. We have
always known and felt your love throughout our growing up and now as
adults. Your compassion and patience is overflowing. You have set the bar
too high for any other mother to reach. We love you very much and hope we
can be half the parent and influence with our lives, as you have been to
us.
The Gracia family: Jill, Scott, Jeb, Michael and Meghan
My mom is special because she helps me with my school work, arts and
crafts, and takes me fun places. We like to ride bikes and eat sushi
together. She is very loving and caring.
Anthony Walker, 11
My mom is the best. She, like most moms, cleans my room, washes my
clothes and cooks for me. But my mom is more than just a regular mom. She
is an amazing mom.
She loves me, cares for me and between all that, she still finds time
to be a teacher. Last year, she was my teacher! She was an amazing
teacher, at that! Last year, when she was my teacher, it was my favorite
school year ever.
Michael Delahanty, 9
Mother-daughter relationships always seem to have a special bond that
is so different than any other. As a child, I depended on Patricia
Griffith-Platt to be my strength and wisdom, and I’ll never forget the
way I felt when, as an adult, she leaned on me for the same things I had
always expected from her.
At first I remember feeling betrayed, like my hero had lied to me all
my life and now her mortal truth was revealing itself, but then I began
to understand the strength it must have taken to always push her pains
and problems to the side to make sure my cuts and bruises were always
taken care of.
It was then I learned to be not only the daughter she had raised me to
be, but also the person she had modeled for me all those years. It was
then I realized what an honor it was for someone of her strength,
intelligence and wisdom to reach out and ask me for help. The day she
realized that she could come to me like I had come to her for so many
years meant that she was treating me as an equal, not just a daughter but
a friend and confidant.
The relationship that I have with my mother is a friendship and trust
that is sometimes bumpy and loud but always enduring and imperishable.
She has been my rock and taught me more than she will ever know, for that
I am forever indebted to her. Mommy, I love you.
Jessica Griffith
We don’t know how she does it,
This marvelous and gifted woman.
Many dozen daily tasks,
Working all day,
Never-ending calls from us.
What drives her through it all, despite --
The daily grind,
Our fighting,
Our indifference at times.
One week would drain a mortal woman.
But, she drives on.
Her power is Love:
God-given, self-generated,
Bestowed on her by everyone she meets.
Happy Mothers Day, mom. We love and appreciate you so much.
Nicholas, Katherine and Alexa Ossipoff
What do you say about the woman that breathed the very life into you?
You say thank you if you are happy in your own life.
My mother supported her children in whatever endeavor they attempted.
Never did you hear that you could not or should not try something new,
different or out of your reach. My mom was and is always there.
My mother, by example, has been such a positive role model for her
children and grandchildren. Her biggest attribute is her ability to see
the good in everyone, that all people have value. To my knowledge she has
never said a negative thing about another living being.
There is a saying in my family that our mother is lucky. She always
gets the parking place closest to the door. She has won various prizes
and good things always seem to happen to her. Her children always chant
“Lucky Peg,” “Lucky Peg,” “Lucky Peg,” when we want something to go our
way. I believe in my heart that because my mom has been so good, that
good follows her. I hope in my heart that I will be lucky too.
I love you mom. Thanks for my life, and the lives that live beyond us.
Tina Wayt
Moms are great, they never stop loving you. Even when they are down on
thier luck and feeling pretty bad, they always manage to be selfless.
When you are worried, they tell you it will be okay. They hug you and
take away your fear.
My mom is the greatest, she rarely thinks of herself, she always does
things for everyone else.
My mom is one of the bravest people I know. She has been going through
breast cancer the last two or some odd years of her life and kept working
and helping out our community until the day she went to the hospital for

My mother is always upbeat around us kids. Always understanding how
hard it is to be a teenager in this world today ( OK, well, most of the
time).
She was referee for Ayso region 120 and refereed every Saturday at
least once, sometimes two to three games. My mom is amazing and so caring
and wonderful, she is the best mom in the world.

Margaret Niewiarowski, my mom, is the greatest because she is kind,
compassionate, loving and giving. My mom raised nine kids, and myself
being the youngest, I have nothing but fond memories of mom growing up,
through to today.
Mom was never restrictive and lead by example. But the greatest of all
is that while mom is retired now and could be traveling the world, she
travels instead the depths of the Holy Bible and has given her heart to
Jesus Christ, and loves to read of God’s infinite wisdom.

I just turned one yesterday and I already know that my mom, Tammy
Matsunami, is the best mom in the whole world!

Our mom is super special to us. She plans the best vacations in the
world. She comes to almost every baseball game we have. She packs our
lunch. She encourages us. She is a super piano player and teaches us
piano. She helps to support the family by working. She helps women
deliver babies so they can have mothers days too. She is the best mom a
kid could ever have!

We’d like to dedicate this special message to our mother, Nancie.
Mom, today is the day that all children are expected to show their
affection to their mothers. We want you to know that we think about you,
not only today, but whenever we wish to fill our hearts with warmth. The
warmth that only a mother can give -- when she worries about her
children, when she stays up until they come home, when she watches them
grow up too quickly, and even when she continually stuffs them with food.
We thank you for all the time you give us; between work and housework,
it is amazing that you have any at all. We can only hope to return all
your love and care in the many years to come. You are our mother and we
would not like for it to be any other way. Happy Mother’s Day, mom.
