WEATHER FORECAST
More early morning clouds and temperatures in the upper 50s to start
the day. But the sun will burn the clouds away for a bright, warm
afternoon with temperatures from the upper 60s at the beach to the
mid-70s farther inland, peaking sometime about 1 p.m. The wind won’t be
quite as strong as it has been recently.

BOATING FORECAST
After a rough night, the inner waters will be calmer today. Winds will
reach 15 knots from the west during the afternoon, but waves will only be
2 feet. The swell will be from the west at 3 to 5 feet.
It will be a different story on the outer waters, where winds will be
from the northwest at 15 to 25 knots. The waves will be 2 to 4 feet and
the swell will be from the northwest at 6 to 8 feet, building late to 7
to 10 feet.

A mushy weekend before promised midweek glory. Newport Beach is best
from 56th Street toward Huntington, but it’s all chest-high weak waves.
