Boys Volleyball: Sage Hill falls, 3-1

- Sage Hill High ended the season with a 10-15, 16-14, 15-7, 15-9
Academy League boys volleyball loss to Pasadena Poly to close out 3-11,
2-10 in league.
“As a coach I’m most proud of the way we finished the season,” Sage
Hill Coach Merja Connolly-Freund said. “We’re a young team but good
things happen to teams that play hard. We have a bright future.”
Sophomore outside hitter Kevin Jones led the Lightning with 20 kills,
while Erik Williams pounded 11. Williams also had four blocks.
Sophomore Julian Smith-Newman had 26 assists for Sage Hill, while
freshman Blake Brewer had two blocks.
