WEATHER FORECAST
It certainly won’t be a great day to get a tan. In fact, you might as
well cancel those plans if you have them because the clouds will stick
around today. It would also be wise to skip washing the car as the clouds
have their own plans -- light morning drizzle.
Highs will hover in the low 60s in Newport-Mesa this afternoon while
overnight lows register in the low 50s.
While the sun will make brief cameos the rest of the week, just
consider it an early June. And while you can’t blame it on El Nino quite
yet, he may be back this summer.

BOATING FORECAST
The westerly winds will blow their typical 10 to 15 knots in the inner
waters today, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 3 to 5 feet. This
evening, the swell will build to 4 to 6 feet.
Out farther, following the some early dense fog, the northwesterly
winds will blow strong between 25 and 35 knots, with combined seas of 10
to 13 feet. This evening, winds will lighten up a tad to 20 to 30 knots.
Fog will again roll in tonight.
SURF
The latest northwest swell should produce mostly waist-highs today,
though the occasional shoulder-high will appear. If you’re looking for
much larger, you may want to trek down to San Diego, where overheads are
expected.
