WEATHER FORECAST
The clouds have arrived, and they’ll stick around through the weekend.
But the sun won’t stray far, so expect to see it periodically. Highs will
top out in the mid-60s in Newport-Mesa today. Overnight, lows will drop
to about 50 and rain just may fall.
Saturday’s looking cloudier, cooler and breezier. Highs will hover
around 60, and lows will stick to 50. Enjoy the weekend.

BOATING FORECAST
The westerly wind will blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters, with
2-foot waves and a west swell of 2 to 4 feet. This evening, the swell
will build to 5 to 7 feet.
Out farther, the westerly winds will blow 10 knots, with 1-foot waves
and a west swell of 4 to 6 feet. Later, winds will become northwesterly
and will pick up to 10 to 15 knots, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of
7 to 9 feet.
SURF
The waves will be in the waist- to chest-high range today. By
Saturday, though, conditions should pick up even more, with the
occasional shoulder-high. Standout spots will probably see some
head-highs.
