The Academy of Performing Arts will present “Gypsy,” the classic story

of an aggressive stage mother. The production will take place at 7:30

p.m. March 22 and 23 and 2 p.m. March 24 at Huntington Beach Auditorium,

SATURDAY

Millennium Moons, an exhibit of photographs by Larry Newton of the

full moons of Southern California, will show from March 16 to April 13 at

the Main Street Library Branch, 525 Main St. There will be a reception

open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Main Reading Room at

the library. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday

SUNDAY

The Huntington Beach Restaurant Assn. is holding a food and wine

tasting from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Waterfront Hilton Resort and

Spa, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway. Thirty-five Huntington Beach

restaurants and 20 wineries will participate. The cost is $35 and

proceeds will benefit the Huntington Beach Children’s Library.
