Bristol Street: Grand theft of cars was reported in the 3300 block at
2:20 p.m. Saturday.
Bristol Street: Grand theft exceeding $400 was reported in the 3300
block at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
Bristol Street and Sunflower Avenue: Resisting an officer was reported
at 2:07 a.m. Sunday.
Hyland and Sunflower avenues: Transporting and selling a controlled
substance were reported at 12:40 a.m. Friday.
Newport Boulevard: Possession of a controlled substance was reported
in the 2400 block at 7:15 a.m. Friday.
Oak Street: Possession of a controlled substance was reported in the
800 block at 12:20 a.m. Sunday.
West 19th Street and Meyer Place: Possession of a controlled substance
was reported at 8:35 p.m. Saturday.
NEWPORT BEACH
Altura Drive: A garage burglary was reported in the 1900 block at
11:54 a.m. Friday.
Jasmine: A prowler was reported in the 600 block at 7:54 p.m. Friday.
MacArthur Boulevard: A commercial burglary was reported at the Coco’s
Restaurant in the 4600 block at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Newport Center Drive: An unknown suspect reportedly stole a woman’s
purse from the back of the chair she was sitting on at The Cheesecake
Factory in the 1100 block at 1:13 p.m. Friday.
Newport Center Drive: A woman reported that someone broke into her
locked 1991 blue Chevrolet and stole her purse and leather jacket in the
400 block at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Palazzo: Vandalism to a black 2002 Volkswagen Jetta was reported in
the 100 block at noon Saturday.
White Cap Lane: A woman reported sunglasses, cash, checks, work files
and tickets to a Clippers’ game were stolen from her car in the 200 block
at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
