Stars take bite out of Sharks, 1-0

Zachary Beko turned in a solid performance in goal and his brother,
Jeffrey Beko, scored the game’s lone goal to lead the Stars in a 1-0
victory over the Sharks in an Adams Division contest.
Zachary Beko posted 14 saves to record the shutout. Jeffrey Beko broke
a scoreless tie in the third period when he took an assist from
Christopher Sanchez and slapped in the game-winning goal.
Sharks’ goalie Blake Miller also had a strong game with 15 saves.
In other Adams Division action:
Sythers 2, Slapshots 0
The division’s other shutout victory was recorded by the Sythers as
Noah Johnson scored both goals, Trevor Millikan had one assist and
Jonathan Millikan had 18 saves.
Dillon Mihalik posted 19 saves for the Slapshots.
Mad Dogs 3, Slugs 1
David Mastro scored all three goals for the Mad Dogs, including two in
the third quarter to break a 1-1 tie, Nolan Biegel had an assist and
Michael Godinho recorded 19 saves.
The Slugs received one goal from Nathan Enright, and assist an from
Annmarie Hetrick and 23 saves by Melinda Reed.
Phantoms 0, Avalanche 0
The two division rivals fought to a scoreless tie. Phantoms goalie
Zachery Jones had 17 saves and Ricky Meyer had 19 for the Avalanche.
