IRVINE - The Estancia High girls soccer team opened its Pacific
Coast League season with a 8-0 loss at Northwood Tuesday, but Eagles
coach Tom Williams remained optimistic.
Estancia, which dropped to 3-10, 0-1 in the PCL, improved its play in
the second half after taking Williams’ advice.
“I told the girls, we need to destroy (the Timberwolves’) game,”
Williams said. “Unfortunately, the wake-up call came too late. But it’s
good for us. We’re going to meet them again, later on and we’ll be ready
to take it to them.”
The Eagles will play host to CdM, Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
