IRVINE - Junior Alexi Hands scored two goals to lead the unbeaten
Sage Hill High girls soccer team to a 4-2 nonleague victory over host
Tarbut V’Torah Tuesday.
Hands connected on a breakaway in the first half, as the Lightning
built a 3-1 lead in the first 40 minutes. Freshman Amy Werblin and
sophomore Megan Curry scored one goal each and dished out one assist
apiece. Freshman Mackenzie O’Brien also had an assist for Sage Hill
(4-0-1), while freshman goalkeeper Casey McMackin anchored the defense,
recording six saves.
The Lightning will host Whittier Christian, Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
