Girls soccer: Junior varsity earns two shutouts

The Corona del Mar High junior varsity girls soccer team earned a

1-0 victory over St. Joseph and a 1-0 win over Bonita Saturday in the

Bonita Tournament.

Against St. Joseph, Brooke Burgner scored with 10 minutes left in the

game on a throw in from Courtney Carnahan.

Katie Schiesser made a diving save with two minutes left in the game

to preserve the shutout.

Against Bonita, Kellie Flint scored off a corner kick from Carnahan in

the first half. Schiesser made seven saves.

The Sea Kings (4-1-1) will play in the quarterfinals of the Bonita

Tournament Saturday.
