The Newport Beach Animal Control Department will hold its annual

rabies clinic today.

Rabies shots for dogs and cats will be available for $3.50 per pet all

day. Other vaccinations also will be available.

The clinic will be held at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter, at the

Dover Shores Pet Care Center, 2075 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa.

Officials request that all dogs attending the clinic be restrained on

a leash and cats contained within carriers. Also, pet owner must inform

the shelter staff that they are there for the rabies clinic to receive

the discounted prices.
