Green Chargers mighty in 10-0 season

The Huntington Beach Pop Warner football program has produced several
talented teams since the mid-1970s but this year produced the first
unbeaten team.
The Mighty Mite Green Chargers capped a season to remember Saturday
with a 20-13 victory over the Tustin Cobras.
Huntington Beach finished the regular season with a 10-0 record and
pounded the opposition in the process, outscoring them, 214-43. Seven of
those 10 victories came by shutout.
“Our commitment to the kids was to give them a foundation of football
fundamentals they can take anywhere,†coach Marc Dubois said.
“The strong emphasis was teaching leverage in our offensive and
defensive lines plus safe but aggressive tackling technique. All our kids
did a tremendous job this season.â€
