Be Santa and earn some money at the same time this holiday season.

The City of Huntington Beach Community Services Department is inviting

all interested individuals to be Santa Claus and make visits to

Huntington Beach homes Dec. 8-22 for its 2001 Santa Home Visit Program.

Santas earn $8.27 per 15-minute home visit with at least two visits

per hour.

The program runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, and from

noon to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Santas will be selected following an oral interview, on their ability

to look and sound like Santa, fit the costume and pass a security

background check.

Interested Santas should be in good health, possess a valid California

driver’s license, enjoy children, be on time and have the enthusiasm to

portray Santa.

Applications must be submitted to the Community Services Department,

2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach.
