WEATHER FORECAST
More clouds and temperatures in the high 50s start the day. Watch for
that reoccurring morning fog.
It might clear up a little in the late afternoon, but not enough to
raise the mercury past the mid-70s. It should be cool and clear come
night.

BOATING FORECAST
The inner waters will see light winds from the west, which will stay
10 knots or less throughout the day and produce waves less than a foot
high. The swell will be just 3 feet.
In the outer waters, the winds will be stronger, especially northwest
of San Nicolas Island, blowing up to 20 knots from the northwest. The
wind waves will be between 1 and 3 feet, and the swell out of the
northwest will be 6 feet. The wind should back off late, but the swell
will pick up to 8 feet.
SURF
The mix of southwest and northwest swell continues to bring peaky,
chest-high waves. West Newport will show the best, but the high tide
about 9:30 a.m. will shut things down a lot. It should be glassy and fun
earlier. Sunday and Monday are shaping up even better.

It feels like fall. Cloudy, cool and the sun doesn’t have that hot
feel anymore. But it will again. See Page A2
