College women’s soccer: Vanguard to host playoff game

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard women’s soccer team, which finished third
in the Golden State Atletic Conference, earned a No. 3 seed in the NAIA
Region II Regional Tournament and will host a first-round game Saturday.
The Lions, who face No. 6 Notre Dame de Namur, completed the regular
season Saturday with a 9-7 overall record and a third-place finish in
GSAC, at 7-3.
The NAIA Region II playoffs will also include Azusa Pacific (#1),
Westmont College (#2), Cal Baptist University (#4) and Point Loma
Nazarene University (#5).
The semi-final and championship games will be played at Azusa Pacific
University.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for faculty and $4 for students with a
valid ID.

Pt. Loma Nazarene at California Baptist, 1 p.m.
Friday, NOV. 9 at AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Lowest remaining seed vs. Azusa Pacific University, 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 10 at AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY
Championship game, 2 pm.
