Pop Warner Football: Folsom leads Green Mustangs to 19-7 triumph

Jacob Folsom scored two touchdowns to lead the Costa Mesa Pop
Warner Junior Pee Wee Green Mustangs to a 19-7 victory over Cypress
Saturday.
Folsom scored on runs of seven and 47 yards. Chris Gute also
contributed on offense with a touchdown on a 34-yard punt return.
The Mustangs improve to 4-4.
In other Pop Warner football action:
* Pee Wee Mustangs 12, Cypress Cornhuskers 7 - Cody Matthews started
the game with a 70-yard touchdown. He struck again in the third quarter
by weaving through Cypress blockers and running for a 75-yard touchdown
to give the Mustangs a 12-7 lead. Garrick Williams made a fumble recovery
and key tackles to control the Cypress offense. Cody Fairfield, Gilbert
Beas and Ian Abernathy contributed to the Mustangs’ offensive effort.
Chris Hernandez played solid defense.
* Anaheim Rams 19, Junior Pee Wee Black Mustangs 0 - The 15th seeded
Black Mustangs were led on offense by Josh Erno, Andrew Millian, Bobby
Lenke, Roland Wood and Matt Viles. Omar Luna and Jesse Dawson contributed
on defense.
