Ayso Region 57: Pyros stay hot against Hi-Liters

Ori Tabak scored three goals to help the Pyros beat the Hi-Liters,
5-0, in an AYSO Region 57 boys under-12 soccer game Saturday.
Austin Harms and Karan Sahni also scored goals for the Pyros. Andrew
Mason, Alireza Nazemi, Parker Reed and Lane Wilhelm kept the offensive
pressure on with sharp passes.
John Lockhart, Matt Langel and Chase Stark patrolled the midfield.
Benjamin Noe, Michael Hay and Jeremy Hyter contributed with solid
defense. Harms, Langel and Lockhart shared goalkeeping duties to earn the
shutout.
In boys under-12 action:
* Strikers 2, Orange Crush 0 - Chloe Rome and Alisha Agrellas scored
goals. Rene Mycorn had an assist. A.J. Rome, Madeline Todd, Sarah Wesley,
Caitlin Roberts, Blake Gardner, Corinne Treadaway, Julie Hassman, Leah
Greenbaum and Morgan Wiener played well.
In boys under-10 action:
* Mako Sharks 6, Gladiators 2 - Chris Freeman scored five goals and
Ryan Peyton had one to help the Mako Sharks remain undefeated.
Midfielders Sebastien Welch, Nick Taormina and Braydon Blackford moved
the ball well. David Fenner, Taylor Battram, Ian Massoth, Chandler
Mitchell, Saahm Aresh and Cameron Koppel provided support.
* Green Flash 3, Purple Man Eaters 2 - Michael Haeri scored three
goals. Mikey Pawell played well and Neal O’Hara provided solid defense.
John Cazort kept the pressure on and goalkeeper Brennan Anderson made a
save in the final quarter to secure the victory.
* Flying Tigers 2, Kings 1 - Will Morrow and Zach Cabin scored goals
for the Flying Tigers. Nick Matthews and Christian Anderson had assists.
Mason Case, Zach Socoloski, Hunter Bilotti and Trevor Friedman played
strong defense while Ian Klug and Zach Haber stood their ground in net.
In girls under-10 action:
* Laker Girls 5, Shooting Stars 4 - Hannah Rome scored three goals in
the first half for the Laker Girls, but the Shooting Stars answered with
goals in the second half by Amanda Garrett (2), Hannah Palmaer and
Alexandra Reinach. Amanda Johnson and Madison Ludlow scored in the second
half for the Laker Girls. Layne Kelly played goalkeeper for the Laker
Girls and Allie Pries was in net for the Shooting Stars.
* California Surfer Girls 4, Funky Monkeys 0 - Katie De Miranda (2
goals) and Claire Ham (2 goals) led the offense. Brooke De Miranda, Tess
Crane, Monica Schnapp, Hayley Votolato, Natalie Rempalski and Molly
Silvernail provided support. Claire Ham, Natalie Rempalski, Megan
Wurzelbacher and Nassim Eghtebas provided key defense.
* Chicklets 5, Riptides 1 - Jennifer Vogel (2 goals), Jullian Taylor,
Alexa Cohen and Madison Simmonds scored goals. The Chicklets’ defense was
anchored by Brynn Johnson, Kelly Marshall, Cloyie Cianitti. The Riptides
received their goal from Lauren Luke.
In boys under-8 action:
* The Red Wings took on the Purple Panthers. Jake Jones, Kyle and
Wesley Sherburne, Andrew Doka, Andrew Nemnich, Spencer Christoff, Alex
Yelich and Matthew Francini played well for the Red Wings. Francini
scored on a powerful shot from midfield and Christoff scored on a shot
from an outside angle.
* The Blue Rapids played their fifth game of the season against the
Golden Panthers. Gianni Multari and Nick Molinaro each had two goals.
Josh Giger, Daniel Hohl, Zach Murtaugh, Jack Gorab and Matt Larson
provided offensive support.
* The Yellow Lightning had a solid game against the Lightning Bolts.
Forwards Hunter Molnar, Michael Bui and Jedd Thayer scored goals. Grant
Hodgkins, Cole Kirby and Brooks Westervelt controlled the midfield.
Connor Lazar, Demitrios Ingram and goalkeeper Michael Doering anchored
the defense.
* The Blue Galaxy faced the Black Devil Rays. Billy MacDonald had
three points to lead the offense. Josh Giddings also scored a goal.
Austin Pollard and Brennan Harms split time in net. Ben Cooper and Kevin
Lenell kept the pressure on as forwards while Elliott Steele and Logan
Burkhead contributed on defense.
* The Rockets took off against the Geckos with Jack McBean, Andrew
McCormack and Joe Ctvrtlik scoring goals. Ben Paul, Josh Schwartz and
Eric Ctvrtlik also played well on offense. Kevin Hoffman was solid in
net.
* The Green Machine battled the Commandos. Brent Lawson had two goals
and Blake Grable had one. Pete Rigas, Brian Mull and Cort Hastings played
well. Davis Case was solid in net despite recovering from an injury.
* The Purple Lazers played the Leaping Lizards. Despite being down two
players, the Lazers received strong play from Alex Turney, Bristol Coon
and Donald Haynes. Jason Scholnick was dominated in net.
In girls under-7 action:
* The Blue Dolphins faced the Bumble Bees. Grace Kennedy (2 goals),
Kristina Brown (1 goal) and Olivia Dajee (1 goal) led the Blue Dolphins’
offense. Defense was supplied by Sara Machoskie, Lauren Fox, Maddie
Hayward and Emily Kirsch. Emelie Frojen was solid in net.
* The Alligators took on the Glitter Girls in a well-matched game.
Brooke Donahue scored a goal for the Alligators. At goalie, Kelsey
Christensen, Sally Evans, Catherine Patel and Kati Wechsler came up with
solid saves. Karissa Reinach, Caitlin Hutt and Katie Donahue were
instrumental on offense, and Kristina Sparling contributed strong
defensive efforts.
In girls Division 6:
* The Blue Dolphins received goals from Sarah Hostetler, Shannon
Griffin and Rachel Munro. Kelsey Humphreys played aggressive defense
while Madison Hodgkins made three saves in net. Sarah Vale and Brooke
Pisarik had good control of the ball.
