THE LOOK

They call the store NikeGoddess. It is the first and only all-women’s

Nike store in the United States, and it will open at Newport Beach’s

Fashion Island this month. Nike executive Erin McCormick reports that the

store is Nike Inc.’s vision of a women-oriented business that will “build

muscle” in the retail fashion industry.

A recent VIP store opening attracted such celebrities as Tara Reid,

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Melina Kanakaredes. Vanity Fair Magazine

covered the event, which also attracted director and star Penny Marshall

and Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Modeling NikeGoddess fashions for The

Look is Newport-Mesa’s own lovely Sica Jefferson.
