Huntington Beach edges Laguna Beach, 3-2

Huntington Beach (Region 117) went on the road Saturday and returned

home with a victory over Laguna Beach, defeating the Region 86 squad,

3-2.

Amanda Patrick put Huntington Beach on the board first with an

unassisted goal. After Laguna Beach scored to tie the match at 1-1,

Jennifer Deutsch broke that tie just before the half to give Huntington

Beach the lead for good.

Dana Livingston outran a pair of Laguna defenders early in the second

half to complete the scoring for Huntington Beach.

No Fear 3, Team 402 0

Sami Clark scored two goals and Nicole Torretta added another score in

the fourth quarter as No Fear broke away from a scoreless halftime tie.

Under-12 Division

Rebels 1, H.B. Burn 1

Aaron Stratz scored in the third period and Carter Caldwell, Dustin

Crain, John Albert and Robert Rahon helped keep the Burn at bay as the

Rebels rallied for a tie.

Under-10 Division

Roadrunners 5, Orange Crushers 1

Joel Gilbert, Nicholas Gregory, Roland Moder and Matthew Steinhaus all

scored, halfback Kyle Zekaria had several key assists, Nicholas Carrigan,

Joey Mena and Daniel Resnick took turns in the net and Andrew Flores,

Anthony Nguyen and Matthew Stickler also contributed to the win as the

Roadrunners improved to 5-0-3.
