Mr. P is an 11-year-old tuxedo cat who is available to a qualified

senior, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, organizer of the Community Animal

Network. Many older shelter animals will benefit from this program, she

said.

“Our pets for seniors program offers seniors on a limited budget the

opportunity to save a life by adopting an animal over 10 years without a

fee,� she Pfaff-Martin said. “The organization will pay for a yearly

blood test and physical for the animal as well.�

The network is restructuring its board and still seeks a fund-raiser,

she said. Anyone interested should call the network.The network is a

community-supported animal organization linking people and pets through
