WEATHER FORECAST
Much like Wednesday, it’ll be warm again with highs in the high 70s in
Costa Mesa and in the mid-70s in Newport Beach. It’ll be partly sunny
most of the day. The overnight low will register in the mid-60s.
Temperatures will be a bit warmer on Friday and will reach the 80
mark. Who said summer was over?

BOATING FORECAST
The winds will be light in the harbor in the morning but will pick up
to the typical 10 to 15 knots by afternoon, generating waves of about 2
feet and a mixed south and west swell of 3 to 5 feet. The night winds out
of the west will lighten up to 5 to 15 knots.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will be a bit stronger as they
increase to 15 to 25 knots in the afternoon, with waves about 3 to 4 feet
and a mixed northwest and south swell of 6 to 8 feet. Areas of fog will
develop overnight.
SURF
Surf should be at its best today with shoulder- to overhead-high waves
rolling in today. The occasional 7-footers shouldn’t be counted out. Come
Friday, expect waves to subside a bit to waist- to head-high with the
occasional 7-footers.
