Davis leads Dodgers past Reds, 7-1

Greg Davis got a complete game victory Saturday for the Dodgers, his

mastery on the mound proved too much for the Reds to handle.

Davis recorded 16 strikeouts in leading the Dodgers to a 7-1 Majors

Division victory.

He allowed two walks and just one hit.

The Dodgers were led by Logan Strook, who doubled and had three RBI,

Michael Lucas and Mark Miller, each with a double and RBI and Tyler

Chapman, who doubled and scored three runs.

Davis, Bryan Visnoski and Trevor Gordon added singles.

Rob McCarty had the lone hit for the Reds and Nolan Marcucci walked

and scored on a passed ball.

In other games:

Pirates 10, Angels 0

Cort Ross shut down the Angels with a 10-strikeout, one-hit

performance in a game called after four innings.

Ross also led the Pirates offensively by going 3 for 3 with a double,

triple and three RBI.

Teammate Kyle Hammontree singled, doubled, scored twice and had three

RBI.

David McLaughlin struck out four, walked and had the sole hit for the

Angels.

Cardinals 3, Yankees 1

Austin Morgan pitched a complete game for the Cardinals with six

strikeouts and four hits. Morgan and Carl Eberts each had two hits and

Mark Brookes singled and doubled.

Pat Corbet, Pat Cox, Mike Miner and Anthony Buckley had base hits for

the Yankees and Corbet and Miner held the Cardinals scoreless for five

innings.
