Flames extinguish Wasabi, 5-0

The Flames went on the defensive last weekend and paired that
performance with a balanced offensive attack to score a 5-0 victory over
the Wasabi in Patrick Division play.
The Flames scored in every quarter, with Matthew Marchand scoring the
first of his two goals in the opening period. His second score, a third
period goal, sandwiched two goals by Bradley Groen.
Justin Kauffman’s third period goal finished off the scoring for the
Flames.
Groen also handed out two assists, as did Kyle Landon, while Tyler
Dinley and Jason Holmes each had one.
Flames goalie Joshua Jaeger recorded 15 saves. His Wasabi counterpart,
Marc Cooney, stopped 17 shot attempts.

Kings 6, The Edge 3
The Kings took a 3-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Jeremy Miller scored three goals to lead the Kings, while James Coelho
scored twice, and Cory Moody added the fifth goal. In the assists
department, Miller, Moody and Vance Shaylor each had one.
Kings goalie Jeff Herold had 18 saves.
For The Edge, Chris Morales, Chad Ramsey and Jeremy Escalante each
scored. Morales, Sam Robinson, Cory Liska, Stephanie Martin and Derek
Beslile were in on assists. Goalie Ryan Turchi had 18 saves.
Devils 6, Big Dawgs 4
Adam Frey had a big scoring day for the Devils as he posted a
division-best five goals, including his team’s first three. Ricky Olson
had the other Devils goal, Tony Derleth had two assists, and Michael Zike
and E.J. Mason each had one. Devil’s goalie Ricky Munyan had 19 saves.
The Big Dawgs received goals from Eric Lamotte, James Larson, John
Barrows and Corey Cano, who also led the Big Dawgs in assists with three.
Barrows and Jesse Morrill each had an assist, and Big Dawgs goalie Geoff
Blaskey recorded 17 saves.
