Baseball: Lions take care of The Master’s

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University baseball team used some early
offense to defeat The Master’s College, 9-0, in Golden State Athletic
Conference action Thursday afternoon.
Chad Chop was 3 for 4 with a two-run homer for the Lions (21-16, 9-10
in conference), while Sam Baeder added two hits and two RBIs.
Vanguard jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and never looked
back.
The Lions, after suffering through a five-game losing streak, have now
won two straight over The Master’s. They look to make it three in a row
over the Mustangs Tuesday at 2 p.m.
