Men’s tennis: Lions doubled up by Cal Poly Pomona

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University men’s tennis team lost to
visiting Cal Poly Pomona, 6-3, in nonconference action Wednesday
afternoon.
The Lions (10-10) came out on top in three singles matches. Joakim
Ulfvebrand won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, while Peter Skrzeczynski (3-6,
6-4, 6-2) and Sebastian Camara (5-7, 7-6, 6-1) each lost their first set,
but won the final two to prevail.
Vanguard will resume Golden State Athletic Conference action at home
against Westmont, beginning at 2 p.m.

Hall-Dodoy (VU) lost to Nguyen-Than, 6-8; Ulfvebrand-Stromberg (VU) lost
to Giometti-Chen, 2-8.
