NHBA Mustang: Dodgers take care of Giants

The Dodgers used strong pitching to defeat the Giants, 9-5, in
Newport Harbor Baseball Association Mustang Division action (ages 9-10).
The Dodgers’ pitching foursome of Chris Griffin, Daniel Norris,
Garrett McRoberts and Jeff Frum held the Giants to only two hits, while
striking out 15.
Frum and David Blake-Panas each had key RBI hits for the Dodgers,
while Max Jolliffe drove in the tying run.
For the Giants, Garrett Gallegos led the way with strong pitching.
In other Mustang Division action:
Braves 12, Rockies 4 - Nick Svendsen pitched three shutout innings
with nine strikeouts to lead the Braves over the Rockies.
Svendsen, Blake Davey and Coby Peterson combined for nine hits and 10
RBIs for the Braves, while Zach Sprague pitched a solid final inning.
Wesley Woods and Garrett Weigel each played solid all-around games for
the Braves.
