Boys volleyball: CdM rallies past Uni

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High boys volleyball team
needed five games to rally past visiting University to claim a 12-15,
15-0, 7-15, 15-11, 15-4 Pacific Coast League victory Friday.
Charlie Alshuler had 20 kills and seven digs, Brian Gallagher added 19
kills and eight digs, Forrest Mack had 14 kills and four blocks, John
Grod had 16 kills and 17 digs and Evan Burden had 62 assists and 11 digs
for the winners.
CdM, which also received six ace serves from Garrett Macklin and 27
digs from Bart Welch, improved to 5-2, 4-0 in the PCL.
Macklin, utilizing a hard float serve, initiated 11 points in the decisive fifth game, including eight in a row.
Uni fell to 2-2 in league.
