Women’s tennis: Orange Coast edged by Saddleback

MISSION VIEJO - The Orange Coast College women’s tennis team

dropped its first Orange Empire Conference match to host Saddleback, 5-4,

Thursday afternoon.

Veronica Sommer and Stephanie Chang pulled out singles wins for the

Pirates (8-3, 6-1 in conference), then teamed up to win in doubles.

The Pirates wrap up OEC play on Tuesday when they host Fullerton,

beginning at 2 p.m.
