Marine Corps Pvt. Michael S. Tucker of Huntington Beach completed
basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. Tucker
completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge new Marine recruits
both physically and mentally. He is the son of Joyce and Richard Cruz.
Navy Hospitalman Recruit Natalie J. Caruso recently graduated from the
Basic Hospital Corps School at Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lake,
Ill. She is the daughter of Richard and Holly Caruso of Huntington Beach.
Marine Corps Sgt. Stephen D. Martinez was promoted to his current rank
and reenlisted for three years while serving with Headquarters and
Headquarters Squadron at the Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro. He is
the son of Linda Martinez of Huntington Beach.
Rebecca Nosaka of Huntington Beach is a member of the Hanover College
Wind Ensemble, which is hosting special guest performer Gregory
Ridlington in a PRISM Concert. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Terrance Bartz.
Huntington Beach resident Cody Gummerman performs as Lewis Carol in
“Alice in Wonderland” at the Chance Theatre in Anaheim Hills. Cody is an
eighth-grader at Vista View Middle School.
Huntington Beach residents Lynn Schang, Ethel Watts, Chris Grisey,
Rusty Hobart-Syfert and Christina Barretta were recognized with the
Spotlight Awards at the Girl Scout Council of Orange County’s annual
Adult Recognition Dinner at the Disneyland Hotel’s Marina Ballroom. The
Girl Scout volunteers were recognized for service to their service units.
