Roller hockey: Ensign wins twice
IRVINE - The Ensign club roller hockey team extended its winning
streak with two wins last week.
On March 13, Ensign defeated the Newhart Panthers, 5-4. Kyle Pfeiffer
and Collin Insley each had two goals, while Rhett Palmer and Rory
Campbell each added single tallies.
Michael Matthews had one assist, while Zack Boston, Jesus Sotelo, Alex
Yerkes and Tristen McNeill also played solid games.
On Saturday, Ensign edged Serrano, 10-8. Pfeiffer led the offense with
five goals, while Insley added one goal and six assists.
Palmer and Spencer Link chipped in two goals each for Ensign, which
plays on Wednesday in the opening round of the playoffs, beginning at 5
p.m. at the Gretzky Center.
