The Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council has launched a Web site
that includes the listing of all known congregations in Costa Mesa,
Irvine and Newport Beach.
The site, https://www.nmiinterfaith.org, contains a schedule of council
luncheon meetings, information on the May 3, National Day of Prayer
breakfast, interfaith contacts throughout southern California and council
membership information.
The list includes 40 congregations in Costa Mesa, 52 in Irvine and 24
in Newport Beach.
The next Interfaith Council meeting will be held 11:45 a.m. April 11
at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Irvine Stake, 23 Lake
Road in Irvine. The theme will be “Remembering the holocausts of the 20th
century.” Lunch is $7.50 payable at the door. Reservations are necessary.

Cross championships at the fairgrounds
Hilton/West Motorsports is having its Southern California Arena Cross
Championships on March 31 and April 1 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
The event will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 31 and from noon to 8
p.m. April 1 in the Grandstand Arena.
On March 31, general admission will cost $12, with a $6 discount for
children from 4 to 11 years old. On April 1, general admission will cost
$8, with a $3 discount for children from 4 to 11 years old.
Children 3 years old and younger get in free both days. The Orange
County Fairgrounds is at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.

Hyatt Newporter offering Internet hook-ups
The Hyatt Newporter, a frequent location for business meetings and
conferences, has started offering high speed Internet access.
Groups can access the Internet in any meeting room and connect several
meeting rooms.
Hyatt Newporter offers 19 fully equipped meeting and conference rooms
that can accommodate 10 to 900 guests, reception facilities for up to
2,000, including the 6,700 square-foot Plaza Ballroom, an on-site
audio-visual company and a business center.
Fairgrounds to host free festival
Sugar Plum Festivals is having a free Sugar Plum Arts and Crafts
Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 29 to March 31 at the Orange County
Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.

Meow! Cat show coming soon
The International Cat Association and Top Cats Tails is having a cat
show, titled “Our Shining Stars III,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and
March 25 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
The event will include 12 judging rings with international judges and
exhibitors. Pixie-Bob, Munchkin, Bengal and Sphynx cats will be exhibited
as well as Siamese, Persian and Maine Coon cats.
At the show, vendors will sell cat-related merchandise, pet food
companies will give away free pet food samples and some exhibitors will
have kittens for sale.
Admission will cost $6 for adults and $5 for seniors.
