Stars shine, Hornets sting

The Stars and Hornets continue to share the Smythe Division lead with

the Jets trailing by just half a game.

The Stars (8-2) came up with a three goal third period to down the

Thunderblades, 7-3. David Marabella scored twice and had an assist, Cody

Merrick scored twice, Kian Rhodes scored once and had an assist, Jake

Galaviz scored once, Ross Harper had three assists and goalie Brad

Brandenburg recorded 25 saves.

Luke Gane scored twice, Justin Romers scored once and goalie Garrett

Ono had 29 saves for the Thunderblades (5-5).

Hornets 9, Crunch 4

Adam Lamotte and Drew Richardson each scored twice, Brandon Weiss,

Michael Eastman, and Jeff Fuzzard each scored once with an assist,

Cameron Weiss and Daniel Ane each scored once, Russell Barrett had two

assists and goalie D.J. Mihalik stopped 21 shot attempts for the Hornets

(8-2).

For the Crunch (2-8), Tyler Olsen scored twice, Matthew Finlayson and

William DeWitt each scored once, Ethan Bolling had an assist and goalie

Paige Teagle had 27 saves.

Jets 7, Stampede 3

Destiny Mills matched two goals with two assists for the Jets (7-2-1).

Garrett Haar and Allison Dufault each scored twice, Jared Rassler scored

once, Casey Adams had a pair of assists and goalie Blake Easton had 31

saves.

David Loy scored all three goals for the Stampede (1-8-1), and goalie

Tyler Post had 34 saves.

Flyers 3, Rangers 2

The Flyers improved to 5-4-1 as Ramiro Pimentel, Joey Mahoney, and

Nicholas Weldon each scored once. Garrett Ono and Damian Raburn each had

an assist and goalie Jaryd Mason had 24 saves. For the Rangers (2-7-1),

Richard Rodeback and Austin Shannon scored, Rebecca Koppel had an assist

and goalie Jason Moore recorded 33 saves.

CAMPBELL DIVISION

Razors 4, Warriors 3

Zane Webber scored the final three goals, Corey Pack scored once,

Blake Miller had an assist and goalie Garrett Haar had 17 saves for the Razors (3-4-3). John Sacco scored twice, Julien Laux scored once and

goalie Sean Easton had 17 saves for the Warriors (4-5-1).
