Electricity’s weekend anything but static

A busy weekend for the South Huntington Beach Electricity, a girls’
Division II National Junior Basketball team, concluded the best way
possible.
The Electricity opened play Sunday with a 36-19 home win over the
North Huntington Beach Stars. Lauren Kaprielian scored 12 points, Nicole
Kaprielian scored 10, Eileen Flanagan scored eight and Becca Noffsinger
added six.
In their second game, the Electricity faced a tougher task, but came
up with just enough to edge the South Huntington Beach Kobe Shaquettes,
23-22. Kaprielian again led the way with eight points, Flanagan scored
seven and Melissa Salcius chipped in with six. Anna Storti and Danielle
Teitlebaum sparked the Electricity on defense.
Jackie Anderson and Tiffany Duchene each scored six points to pace the
Kobe Shaquettes.

FV Hotshots 36, FV No. 2 15
Crystal Perez hit three, three-point shots and finished with 18
points, seven rebounds and five steals to lead the Hotshots (7-3).
Teammate Miranda Baker turned in a season-best four assists and Lauren
Salvati had three blocked shots.
