Ocean View High School will host an Open Enrollment Night for the
community at 7 p.m. today.
School administrators, teachers and staff will be on hand to answer
questions about the school’s curriculum, programs and policies to provide
the parents and students with needed information during the high school
district’s open enrollment period.
The evening will also include presentations on the school’s
International Baccalaureate program, the Business Academy, the Medical
Academy and the sports programs.

Fountain Valley to announce Citizen of the Year
The Fountain Valley Rotary Club will name its Citizen of the Year
during a presentation at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 1100 Warner Ave., Suite
112, Fountain Valley.
The public is invited to attend, and lunch will be provided at no

Water district receives $300,000 grant
The Orange County Water District received a $300,000 grant from the
California Energy Commission to be used for water purification, membrane
testing and research.
This year, the water district’s Water Resources and Technology
Department, in conjunction with members of the Desalination Research
Innovation Partnership, will apply this grant toward three
membrane-related research projects.
