The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s Orange County Affiliate
is accepting nominations for its 2001 Most Inspirational Breast Cancer
Survivor award.
The nominees will be judged according to their demonstration of an
understanding and awareness of issues related to breast cancer
survivorship and a commitment to educating the public with messages about
the importance of early detection and healthy lifestyle choices.
The winner will be announced at the Wanda J. Cobb Breast Health
Symposium and Susan G. Komen Survivors Luncheon from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
March 31 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Tennis Club.
The winner will also be honored at the Race for the Cure on Sept. 23.
Nomination forms must be submitted by March 1.

Antique Show set for next month
The Costa Mesa Antique Show and Sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 7
p.m. March 16 and 17 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 18 at the Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. More than 200 antique
dealers from all over the Western United States will attend the event,
hosted by Calendar Antique Shows, selling everything from tin to Tiffany.
There will also be workshops on how to repair nicks and chips in fine
glass and crystal, as well as jewelry.
An antique and collectible appraisal booth will also be available.
Sandy Cloud of Cloud 9 Antiques and a crew of other appraisers will man
the booth. Appraisals are $5 per item.
