The Orange County Fair won 28 Western Fairs Assn. awards for its 2000
fair, themed “Hot, Hot, Hot -- We’re Spicin’ It Up!”
The Western Fairs Assn. is a trade organization made up of fairs and
related industries throughout the Western United States and Canada.
The fair won seven first-place awards, four second-place awards, five
third-place awards and 12 honorable mentions from the association.
The fair won first-place awards in the categories of most
user-friendly exhibitor guidebook, theme program, special event or
activity, and sponsorship program. It also won first place for a series
of signs and for two photo series.
The 2001 Orange County Fair will be themed “Twist & Shout! Celebrate
Citrus and Sun” and will be held from July 13 to 29 at the Orange County
Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.
