Basketball: Lions fall twice

SANTA BARBARA - Courtney McKinney scored 14 points and grabbed six
rebounds for the Vanguard University women’s basketball team in Tuesday’s
69-56 Golden State Athletic Conference loss at Westmont.
Becki Huddle chipped in 11 points, six rebounds and five assists for
the Lions (14-10, 7-8 in conference).
The men’s team, meanwhile, dropped a 75-61 GSAC decision to the host
Warriors.
Dennis Keane led the Lions (7-19, 3-12) with 22 points, while Brandon
Cablay added 16.
Both teams host Biola Saturday night. The women play at 5:30 p.m.,
while the men tip off at 7:30.
