COSTA MESA
* Avocado Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 300 block at
8:41 a.m. Tuesday.
* Bear Creek: A petty theft was reported in the 800 block at 8:01 a.m.
Tuesday.
* Bristol Street: A vehicle was reportedly burglarized in the 3300
block at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday.
* Bristol Street: An embezzlement was reported in the 2900 block at
3:11 p.m. Tuesday.
* Fairview Road and Paularino Avenue: A noninjury collision was
reported at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.
* Harbor Boulevard: Someone was reportedly trespassing in the 2700
block at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday.
* Placentia Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 1900 block at
2:55 p.m. Tuesday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Jamboree Road and University Drive: Police arrested a man on
suspicion of possessing controlled substances at 10:05 p.m. Monday. Bail
was set at $10,000.
* Old Newport Boulevard: Police reported that someone painted
unintelligible symbols on the rear water meter cover of a business in the
500 block at 8:16 a.m. Tuesday. Police are investigating whether the
graffiti is gang related.
* River Avenue and Balboa Boulevard: Police arrested a man on
suspicion of disorderly conduct in public and being under the suspected
influence of alcohol at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Bail was set at $100.
