Crunch gets by Spitfires, 8-6

Alex Loeffelman came up with three goals Monday night, and William
DeWitt scored twice with one assist to lead the Crunch past the
Spitfires, 8-6, in a Smythe Division contest played at Coast 2 Coast
Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Matthew Finlayson, Jason Moore and Alec Lillaro each scored once, and
goalie D.J. Mihalik recorded 27 saves to complete the Crunch attack.
Jonathan Floren scored two goals, Michael Inouye had a pair of
assists, Tyler Schultz, Luke Hamagiwa, Bryan Van Arsdale and Mitchel
Gonzales all scored once, and goalie Jarrett Powers had 22 saves to lead
the Spitfires.
IN OTHER GAMES:
Jets 5, Hornets 3
Destiny Mills, Jared Rassler and Ariel Rassler each scored once in the
final period, and goalie Blake Easton shut down the Hornets down the
stretch as the Jets rallied for the victory. Rassler finished the match
with three goals, Easton finished with 21 saves, and teammate Sean Easton
added two assists.
Russell Barrett and Adam Lamotte each had a goal and assist, Michael
Eastman scored once, and goalie D.J. Mihalik had 24 saves.
Rangers 2, Stampede 1
Nathan Bergeron and Lance Unrau scored single goals, Nelson Kays had
an assist and goalie Jason Moore stopped 31 shot attempts for the
Rangers. David Loy scored off a Devin Lopez feed and goalie Tyler Post
had 26 saves to lead the Stampede.
Flyers 6, Thunderblades 3
Brett Shaver scored two goals, Joey Mahoney and Damian Rayburn each
had a goal and assist, Harrison Ono and Blake Cooper scored single goals
and goalie Jaryd Mason had 26 saves for the victorious Flyers.
Luke Gane scored twice, Robert Brothers scored once and Garrett Ono
stopped 33 shot attempts in the net for the Thunderblades.
