Girls water polo: Sea Kings cruise, 6-0

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High goalie Vanessa Hill, in only

her second varsity girls water polo game, made four saves as the Sea

Kings defeated Pacific Coast League visitor Northwood, 18-1, Wednesday.

CdM (9-8, 2-0 in league) got four goals apiece from Lindsey Daley,

Christina Hewko and Brittany Bowlus. The hosts led, 9-0, at halftime and

only a third-quarter goal kept the Timberwolves from being shut out.

CdM defeated Santa Monica Monday, 6-5, in a rematch of last year’s CIF

Southern Section Division IV semifinal. Daley and Daniela DiGiacomo

scored two goals Monday.

CdM also finished 11th at the Santa Barbara Tournament, completed

Saturday, including wins over J.W. North of Riverside and Valhalla of San

Diego.
