Girls basketball: Mesa falls to Long Beach Jordan

ARTESIA - One quarter of cold basketball turned out to be the
difference for the Costa Mesa High girls basketball team in Monday’s
67-60 first-round loss to Long Beach Jordan at Cypress High in the
Artesia Tournament.
The Mustangs (3-4) were outscored 13-3 in the second quarter and could
not overcome 23 turnovers.
Nancy Hatsushi led Mesa with 19 points, eight assists and seven
steals, while Leigh Marshall chipped in with 17 points.
Costa Mesa will play Bell Gardens today at 3:45 p.m. at Cypress.
