The city of Costa Mesa, in collaboration with the Orange County
Sanitary District and the Orange County Fairgrounds, will recycle
Christmas trees.
The trees will be collected on regular trash days between Dec. 26 and
Jan. 8. Residents are asked to remove tinsel and any other decorations
before they place a tree on the curb. A special truck has been assigned
on these days to pick up the trees.
Multifamily complexes and businesses that use trash bin service must,
however, arrange for tree collection with their regular trash hauler.
For more information about the 11th Christmas tree recycling program,
call the city’s Public Services Department at (714) 754-5024 or the
Orange County Fairgrounds at (714) 708-3247.
