The American Ballet Theatre is seeking children and adults for dancing
and non-dancing roles in its holiday production of “Cinderella,” which
will be presented Dec. 19-23 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 in Founders Hall at The Center,
600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Girls 9 to 11 years of age, boys 15 to
17, and women and men are needed for a variety of roles. Call for

Educational Touring Production receives underwriting funds
South Coast Repertory’s 2001 Educational Touring Production has
received major underwriting to support its tour of Southland elementary
schools Jan. 17-April 28.
The show, “Bad Water Blues: A Coral Reef Mystery” by Richard Hellesen,
with music by Michael Silversher, was originally scheduled to tour
through April 8. It addresses the issue of threatened coastal waters.
Underwriters include Boeing, The Capital Group Charitable Foundation
and the California Arts Council. The city of Newport Beach Cultural Arts
Council will sponsor five performances in Newport Beach.
Dance ensemble to hold auditions
Auditions will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 2 for Orange Coast
College’s performing dance ensemble DANC’N ETC. at OCC’s Dance Studio B,
2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.
The company performs the latest contemporary styles, including
hip-hop, jazz, ballet and modern, and is looking for dancers and actors.
The group will perform throughout the spring at Orange County high
schools and colleges, as well as in competitions.
